Gallery: 43rd Monterey Jazz Festival, 2000
 
These are images from the 43rd Monterey Jazz Festival in September 2000. Most of the shots are of Richard Bona, the bass player and vocalist from Cameroon. I'd seen Bona perform before in San Francisco, and was pretty sure that it was going to be a truly memorable performance. I was not let down. Bona completely blew away the audience at Monterey with his haunting vocals, electrifying bass and amazing stage presence.
